A farm isn’t built in a day

This morning I walked through the garden with my camera instead of a shovel.

Sometimes that’s exactly what I need.

It’s easy to spend every day thinking about weeds that still need pulling, beds that still need planting, or all the things that aren’t finished yet.

But when I slowed down enough to really look…

I saw tiny seedlings pushing through the soil.

I saw new successions beginning.

I saw zinnias opening in colors that made me stop and smile.

The celosia caught the morning light.

The chickens wandered through the yard without a care in the world.

And for a few minutes, I wasn’t thinking about my endless to-do list.

I was simply grateful.

Able Journey Farm is still in its first season. Every day we’re learning something new. Every bed teaches another lesson. Every bloom feels like a small victory.

Dreams don’t usually appear all at once.

Sometimes they grow one seed at a time.

Thank you for being here while this dream grows.
